High Interval Intensive Training

Metabolic Burn

Our functional Metabolic Burn classes alternate between Intense bursts of activity, and periods of less intense activity. Metabolic Burn will burn more fat in less time, improve your heart health, increase your metabolism, immune system, and anti-aging ability!
Ideally you will do your own warm up before class starts and your own stretches at the end. All Metabolic Burn class programs are different each time, so you don’t get bored. Our very experienced coaches can modify the exercises on the spot for individual needs.
Get motivated not only from the coach, but your fellow classmates.

Exercise To Stay Young (ETSY)

Designed for older people wanting to improve their lifestyle and prolong independency.
In this class expect to improve your mobility, stability, flexibility, balance, hand eye coordination, and strength. Strength training goes along way to preventing age related declines in bone and muscle mass, including osteoporosis, which can lead to frailty and fracture.
This class is led by very experienced coaches, who can give different options for different abilities, so to help personalise the experience for you.
These classes have a great social bond amongst the participants, where they laugh and socialise while they exercise. Check out this YouTube video. Often after class, participants go to one of the cafes and go for a cup of coffee or tea. Great friendships are made in this class.

Boxing classes at The Achievement Room

Monster Cardio Box

Get ready to rev up your heart rate, improve your cardio fitness and shed some body fat in this interactive cardio box class. The ultimate stress buster, and calorie burner. If you like fun, hot and sweaty, then this is the class for you!
In this cardio box class, the programs are always different, and is designed not only just for boxing, but to sharpen your reactions, to become mentally stronger, become stronger at multi-directional movement, stronger through a large variety of body weight exercises, with a lot of Zuu type of mobility exercise, all while you are becoming better aerobically by doing bag and mitt work.

You will be partnered up (or bring a mate ) for focus pads, and there are always fun games to be had. All abilities are catered for, so no prior boxing experienced is needed, as you have some very experienced coaches helping you with your boxing technique.

 

Pilates Fusion

Mix it up with Pilates Fusion focusing on a good posture and a strong core. You will use a variety of Pilates equipment for great results. For all ages and abilities and effective for rehab purposes.

Pilates Fusion incorporates exercises from different workout styles—including barre, yoga, strength training, cardio, and dance—to give a modern twist to Mat Pilates.
Similar to Mat Pilates, this style has a deep focus on the core and emphasizes moves that will tone, stretch, and elongate muscles.

After Burn - Find your Strong

After Burn focuses on increasing muscle endurance, shape, and tone. Working all muscle groups, without bulking up. Bust out major calories and get to savour the metabolic and muscular after burn.
Our experienced team of coaches can change exercises on the spot to suit specific needs.

During intense exercise, your metabolic rate increases. When you stop, it doesn't go back to “resting” immediately, but remains elevated for a short time. This causes an increase in calorie burn, even after you've stretched, showered, and eaten your post-workout snack.

Yoga

Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility.

Slow movements and deep breathing increase blood flow and warm up muscles, while holding a pose can build strength. Balance on one foot, while holding the other foot to your calf or above the knee (but never on the knee) at a right angle.

The perfect class for a Sunday. Your body will thank you for the focused lengthening those tight muscles, and lessening stress from mind and body. Masterful Janet Gibson takes this yoga class and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

The perfect complement to a resistance training program, mobility training enhances your ability to perform strength exercises through a full range of motion—improving movement quality, posture, and balance while helping you develop stronger, more resilient muscles for better performance both in and out of the gym.
