a. The Achievement Room acknowledges and respects your privacy.

b. We are bound by the Privacy Act 2020 and in particular the information privacy principles that are set out in this act

c. Any changes to our privacy policy will be effective on any change thereof posted on our website

d. We may collect and hold personal information by you when you:

• Complete the membership enrolment process either in person or online or by way of our member portal and/or member APP

• Offer any other information to us, as we go about providing our service to you

e. We use the information for the purposes of conducting our business, including:

• to deliver services & information to you
• to assist you with matters relating to the services we provide to you & other members
• to improve & better understand your preferences
• to notify you of any change to our services or to your membership terms (including fees) &
• to fulfil our legal & regulatory obligations

f. This information is usually collected directly from you but occasionally, where it is impractical to do so, it may be collected from third party service providers or publicly available sources

g. You may choose not to provide any personal information to us, however as a result we may not be able to provide services to you of changes to our services or your membership terms (including fees)

h. We may use the personal information you submit to us for direct marketing purposes (eg, newsletters). You can opt out of receiving marketing materials by writing to us at the below email address or by following the instructions to unsubscribe in one of our marketing emails

i. We may disclose personal information to 3rd parties:

◦ To meet the purpose for which it was submitted (eg, to process your membership application)
◦ To validate the information you provide to us in the course of signing up to &/or using our services
◦ To undertake fee collection services on our behalf
◦ If we are required to disclose information by law
◦ To protect the personal safety of our staff, other users of our services or the public, &
◦ To any prospective purchaser of our business

j. You can access and request the correction/deletion of any personal information concerning you at any time by contacting us. Your right to this will be subject to the relevant exceptions of the Privacy Act.

k. We take reasonable measures to protect all personal information stored within our database. However, when providing personal information via our website &/or member portal/APP the transmission of information using the internet is not completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the security of transmitted data and any such transmission is at your own risk

l. The Achievement Room use closed circuit television (cctv) cameras in and outside its premises. Our use of these is clearly indicated
